Dear Friends,
 First of all... Welcome to Hot Hang-Ups! And thank you for taking the time to read about how Hot Hang-Ups! got its start. It really is a "Once Upon A Time" fairytale story.
To begin the story, I just want to tell you how truly magical these last few years have been. Beginning Hot Hang-Ups! from absolute scratch, creating our original design purse hanger accessories, and experiencing the almost overnight popularity of our designs is a dream come true for me (and a huge sigh of relief from friends and family who have listened to me complain for the last 17 years about wanting to find a purse hanger to protect my purse when I go out).

Well, let me tell you how this adventure began... The first time I saw a purse hanger was actually 17 years ago at a black tie affair. I was sitting next to a lady from Paris, France, and I asked her where she had gotten her exquisite purse hanger. She said it had been given to her as a gift. I just had to have one!
Well, since that night 17 years ago it had been my quest to find one, but to no avail. Then after complaining time and time again about being tired of having my valuable belongings lay on restaurant, salon, and office floors, and becoming scuffed, soiled, battered and generally unprotected, my loving husband, Gerry, said: "Well Lana, why don't you just design one!"
Thanks to that encouragement and inspiration from my husband, and the enthusiasm of my creative daughter, Meghan [see her message below], I came up with my initial, original two-fold idea of not only a purse hanger, but one with a quartz movement timepiece as the face. So, not only would the hanger protect the purse, but everyone would have the time at their fingertips as well! The hanger is so unique, the U.S. Patent Office even gave it a patent number [D435733]!
The result of all my effort is that we have taken the idea of a product that has been around since the 19th century and completely updated the concept. In 2000, I reintroduced five totally new designs [Safari, Americana, Designer, Evening, and Keepsake Photo Frames] as the original purse hangers of the new millennia! The rest of the first 21 designs just fell into place with the help of my trend-setting daughter. Finally, after two year's worth of traveling and research, HOT HANG-UPS! was born!
Thanks to all of our customers who have practically made Hot Hang-Ups! an overnight success story around the world, Hot Hang-Ups! now has 12 gorgeous Collections, over 90 original designs including our very unique Compact Collection. Be assured, we are going to keep adding more and more Collections and designs because of the purse hangers' increasing popularity.
And, I have to tell you... so many of our customers even collect the hangers and match the designs to complement their entire wardrobe! Plus, not only are they perfect for personal use, but they make GREAT GIFTS, too! And, because of their growing popularity, many companies, groups, organizations, and individuals are ordering personalized, customized and Corporate Gift hangers for their special events, corporate promotions and incentives, weddings — you name it — everyone wants a hanger for their special use.

YES! I'm the inspiring, trend-setting daughter Mom is referring to in the Hot Hang-Ups! Story.
